Perfectly Planned Paradise

When Martha purchased her Quail Hollow home, she immediately realized major updates were in order. While she loved the historic feel, she needed additional spaces to accommodate her work/social life. Frequent gatherings with friends in addition to  visits from grandchildren, presented the need for a summertime pool with a covered outdoor space. Martha also wanted a nearby pool house to keep drippy wet suits and towels out of the home and to provide visitors with a convenient place to shower and change. She met with Tom Coogan and Derek Voorhees on a previous project and knew their skills could easily accomplish her goal. Several consultations provided the time to fully explore ideas and to think about timing and scope. Coogan’s Design-Build presented a comprehensive design that perfectly captured her vision. Martha began mapping out the details to the exciting upgrades. The final blueprint was a cohesive plan which blended her home’s refined feeling with the beautiful new additions. The end result is no less than stunning.

Pool:
Raised beam rectangular pool 8’ deep with sheer descents, tanning ledge and swimout.
Bullnose silver travertine coping, Blue Lagoon Pebble Tec pool finish, silver travertine pool decking.

Covered Porch:
Metal roof, plank ceiling, square columns, can lights, ceiling fans

Grill Station:
Drop in Bull Angus grill, Bull Refrigerator, Steel gray granite

Fireplace:
Constructed of brick painted to match house, gas log insert and starter.

Pool House:
Vanity, sink, mirror, toilet, canned lighting, venting, water heater closet, washer/dryer hookup, storage room, glass walled shower, tile, shiplap

Bocce Ball Court:
Measuring 12’x35′ consisting of compacted gravel base, screening, landscape timber enclosure.

Covered Parking:
Carport for 2 cars including 20’X24’ gable roof, concrete footing, square columns, hardie siding, painted brick and canned lighting.
